did anyone show people the work respect we should let him rest in peace whether he commit suicide is none of out business we didnt knew dat guy as a actor sure but as a person we dont know what was going through his mind only he holds dat answer well he was a person just like us and deserves respect maybe all hollywood used drugs but still they deserve respect just let him be dead in peace he is a terrific i dont this one has been one of best performance i would still said this if he was alive well take care and leave dat dead dead maybe u never know he mighht decided to go pay u a visit since u offending him bye

You have done no research. Ok, you know what was in the toxicology reports. Do you know that he had been suffering from crazy insomnia for years? Do you know that he had actually received all of his medication legally? Do more research and don’t take away from a man’s complete creative genius because of whatever he did in his personal life. Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker was not only one of the best portrayals of any comic book character but I think one of the best portrayals of any character in cinematic history. To take away from his performance because he had taken some pills is a disgrace to his talent. The creativity with which he portrayed the Joker is nothing short of amazing and your post is disgusting. Heath Ledger is unfortunately gone, but I will say what a way to go. Oscar material for sure.

I really don’t see the connection between sports and acting here. The list of artistic folks who have used some form of controlled substance or other is long. There is no evidence anyone who doesn’t use these substances is a poorer performer. Artistic endeavor is subjective. In sports you win or loose and the rules of the game are more absolute. We may say an actor or other performer who uses drugs for performance is exercising poor judgement. But to draw a connection between this and an athlete who uses drugs against the rules of a sport to gain a clear competitive advantage is to use fuzzy logic indeed.
