This is very common with JiffyLube. I see they’re refunding the TV station, but will they refund everyone else they’ve ripped off?

I went to Jiffy Tube once, and they popped my tire, and wouldn’t refund the money.

this happened to us in Australia about the same time, if i ever have to go to the mechanic (which i do most things myself) i make sure i’m there to watch, or in very rare cases if i can not be there to watch i get the mechanic to show me my old parts and show me the new parts he has put on, i will not let any mechanic work on my car unless i can watch them work on it. ps once you find a good mechanic stick to them.

I used to work at Jiffy Lube in { }, OR
For all of you poor customers that have your car serviced there. The Owner is so CHEAP and crooked, that your washer fluid is toped off with water instead of washer fluid, same with your long life coolant. Transmission fliud exchanges are not done properly, instead of using the correct Fluid exchange machine to perform the service, they only evac about 3 to 4 quarts out then replace it.Complete fluid exchange should consist of 10 to 15 quarts.(The Transmission fluid machine is broken) The Owner never has enough money to pay his Oil bills, that you more than likely are not getting the correct oil you paid for. Jiffy Lubes policy is not to push up sales, But up sales are mandatory by the owner. And there are bonuses for meeting monthly sales quotas.

Now to mention the working staff, all they have to do is watch a video and take a simple test, (so simple my young child could pass it after watching the video)With no prior mechanics experience they are now qulified to service your vehicle with improper tools, and perform quality inspections. AND DRUG TESTING SHOULD BE MANDATORY!!!! Well good luck to all of the citizens of G.P. My advice to you is to go to Oil Can Henrys. Prices are higher but they they do great work, Remember do not ever feel pressured to buy services at the time of your oil change, your car is not going to fall apart at that instance, drive up to a real garage and get a proffesional opinion. Just tell them no. Extra services depend on driving conditions. P.S. the owner also Owns a store in Roseburg,OR BEWARE!!

FOR PROPER SERVICES I REALLY RECOMMEND DEALERSHIPS OR ASE CERTIFIED SHOPS. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AT MOST FAST LUBE SHOPS. CRAP WORK FOR THE MOST PART..

I had a similar experience with Oil Can Henry’s. I had been taking my ‘88 chevy half ton there for service for years. One day my nephew crawled under the truck to check out a steering issue I was having and asked me why I never greese the chassi.

I crawled under there to look for myself. the zirks had obviously not been touch in years. I had just had an lube and oil change a few days previous.

I took the truck back to the store and raised a big stink. they greased the zirks (while I watched) and gave me several $5 coupons for future oil changes.

Riiiiiight! like I’m going to give them any more of my business. That was almost 10 years ago and I’ve never been to an OCH since.

p.s. I now have ALL my service done at the dealer. it’s the same cost as JL and OCH and I have a complete perminent record of all services for the warranty. JL and OCH only keep records for 6 months.
