Man Who Had Sex With Dog May Have to Register as Sex Offender

A Buckeye, AZ man found guilty of animal cruelty for having sex with his dog will face a judge next month to determine if he must register as a sex offender.
Douglas Burns, 54, will appear in court Oct. 19 after pleading guilty to one count of cruelty to animals with a sexual motivation in July, according to Maricopa County Superior Court.
The judge will determine whether Burns must register as a sex offender after viewing the completed psychosexual evaluation ordered by the court.
Although Burns’ crime occurred before the state made bestiality illegal in Arizona in September of last year, a law states that the judge has the power to make Burns register as a sex offender, according to Mike Anthony Scerbo, Maricopa County Attorney’s Office public information officer.
Burns apparently took pictures of himself having oral and anal sex with a female Labrador retriever and then later took these photographs to Wal-Mart to be developed, according to Kimbery Noetzel, from The Arizona Humane Society.
The offense occurred on or between Oct. 1 and Nov. 19, 2003, according to court records. The Arizona Humane Society believes that Burns should be required to register as a sex offender.
Burns was sentenced to three years supervised probation in July. A jail term will be determined Oct. 19. While on probation, Burns is prohibited from owning any animals, according to court records.
Burns and his wife requested the return of their two cats, according to court records. Judge Timothy Ryan denied the request Friday morning.

The wife is just as sick as he is. They have no pride, no respect for themselves nor the animals. They probably do not feel any remorse because they have no conscious.

Get real, zoophillia is a very common fetish. Been around since man ever since man tamed animals.
Its NOT ’sick’ as you put it. ASK any shrink who can maintain their objectivity, zoophillia is NOT a mental illness, there for some1 who has sex in some form with their pets (as long as its not forced in any way) is NOT mentally ill.
WHAT is the difference between letting the dog lick your fingers as opposed to licking your [ ]? Its only a body and the dog enjoys licking your skin. NO harm done.

Digital camera would have been a SMARTER option.
