Couch in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve

Time for me to rant about some more stupidity in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. Some of you may recall that the whole reason I started this blog was due to people leaving nice little bundles of dog poo in the desert for someone else to pick up.
I hike in the mountain preserve a few times a week. Yesterday I came across something I have not seen in more than 20 years of hiking these trails — a couch! I only had my cell phone with me, so the picture is pretty low quality. And unfortunately, the color of the couch blends in with the trail. But if you look close, you will see it.
This took quite an effort on somebody’s part. And it is going to take quite an effort to have it removed. Now remember, this is a city park. In fact, I believe it is the largest city park in the world. Just Stupid!!
