Wedding Rings Made from Wisdom Teeth
By Just Stupid on Nov 18, 2009 in Stupid People

Wedding rings are supposed to be something that you exchange with your partner to symbolize your everlasting love for one another. Unfortunately, with the divorce rate as high as it is, many people have started to feel like traditional wedding rings just don’t hold a lot of meaning in society anymore. They’re turning to other options for wedding jewelry, options which seem more permanent to them.
The most common example of couples who do this are the couples who choose to get wedding rings that have a true symbolic meaning that runs through their own heritage. For example, people with a Celtic background will choose to get Claddagh rings. These are Celtic wedding rings that hold a lot of meaning for the people from this background. Such intensely traditional wedding rings still have meaning to them in an era when modern weddings rings may not.
At the other end of the spectrum are people who try innovative new ways of creating rings that have special meaning. Matching tattoo rings is a famous example of this. A less famous option, but one that some couples are seriously interested in, is the option of getting matching wedding rings made from each other’s teeth! That’s right, there is such a thing as biojewelry which takes the pulp from adult wisdom teeth and converts into a bone-like substance which can be bejeweled and embellished to create wedding rings.
Do you love your partner enough to wear the pulp of his teeth around your finger every day? Gross! One could argue that these rings have as much (or more) special meaning as Claddagh rings but this is one that most people are going to choose not to try for themselves!
