This is just a darn shame for my home state of Arizona and the USA in general.  Below are pictures taken of huge Layup or Rest Area discovered by MCDC AZ SEARCH & RESCUE.  This layup is on an ‘illegal super highway’ from Mexico to the USA (Tucson) used by human smugglers.  This layup is located in a wash area approximately one mile long just south of Tucson. 

They estimate there are over 3,000 discarded back packs, countless water containers, food wrappers, and clothing in this layup area.

 

And of course the trail leading out of the rest area is heading North to Tucson and beyond!

The trash left behind by the illegals is just a stupid environmental issue that USA citizens need to deal with.  Volunteers clean this up every year, and the cycle starts anew.  Had this been done in one of our great Northwest Forests or Seashore National Parksareas there would be an uprising of the American people…….. but this is remote Arizona-Mexican border.  Out of sight, out of mind.  Hopefully not for long!
