There’s a new television show that started airing earlier this year called Little Miss Perfect. The show follows the inside worlds of child beauty pageants. Although the kids are the focus of these pageants, it’s the moms who are really the focus of the show. That’s because these mothers are just plain frightening. They push their children to a competitive edge with their looks as their only weapon.

An example of one stupid Mom’s comment:

Young Ashley’s mom talked about reactions she gets from non-pageant parents.  “I guess you would think we’re doing something wrong if you have an ugly child,” she said with a straight face.  (via Backseat Writer)

These moms don’t even realize the damage that they’re doing to their kids by placing so much emphasis on their looks. And it’s not like these looks are really cute on most of those kids. They’re either far too scary or just plain sexy at an age when kids should be neither.

Of course kids can be stylish at a very young age. But it needs to be with age-appropriate clothing (like the stylish duds offered from Catimini and Deux Par Deux) not with crazy make-up and fake teeth. What kind of women do these girls end up growing into?!
