5 Stupid Reality TV Shows

We know that there are a lot of people out there who love Reality TV. We’ll admit that we’ve even gotten sucked in to certain shows. However there are just way too many reality TV shows being made these days. And some of them are just really, really stupid.
Here’s our picks for the ten stupidest reality TV shows:
- Paradise Hotel. A bunch of single people are put into a hotel together. They’re paired up in rooms together as the season progresses with people being kicked off. The two people left at the end win money. What is the point?
- Re-inventing Bonaduce. Most Reality TV shows that follow the lives of celebrities are stupid. This one follows the "reinvention" of Gretchen Bonaduce, the ex of I-guess-he’s-a-celebrity Danny Bonaduce. Because anyone cares to know about her?
- Hammertime. Another celebrity reality TV show – this one follows the life of MC Hammer. Yeah, remember him? Really?
- Househusbands of Hollywood. Rich women have stay-at-home-husbands and apparently we want to watch their lives play out. Not so much. These guys are mostly just pathetic and the people who watch them kind of are as well.
- American Idol. Okay, we know we’re going to take a lot of flak for including this popular show. But you know what? It’s stupid! Bad singers turn into bad pseudo-celebrities and millions of people watch them do it. Maybe it was a good idea when it first aired but now it’s just dumb.

American Idol better known as American Idiot or The All New Gong Show. Yes it’s an idiotic, rigged piece of fantasy that’s designed for mush heads. What “reality” show isn’t designed to make you feel as though your brain has been sucked out by a giant hypodermic needle? Sadly our American culture has a fixation on these bullshit programs thanks to the freaking British who devised the “reality” TV concept and pooped their lame ideas into the states. Now millions of souls can sit in front of their high definition sets soaking up hour after hour of poorly written, rigged, horribly acted, offensive, no talent aboard or former “talent” (has-beens) making complete jackasses out of themselves. And we (some) as a society accept this crap and support this mind robbing rot! If people really valued what they watched we wouldn’t see television in the lowest state of decline that it’s ever been in. But I guess DUMB sells. So as long as people place any worth into dumb TV shows, then that’s what it shall be:(

I agree with number 5. “the Constant Complainer” you are 100% correct the lamest reality show is dating in the dark followed by the Joe Shmoe show.

it sure is i hate that stupid show the only part i would ever watch is the auditions to see how manny stupid people try and make it that think there so good but suck balls!! hahaahaha its so funny

Rohnda, of course American Idol is a ‘dumb’ show, but I think people watch these programmes knowing so! I certainly take what I see with a pinch of salt- for one, there have been so many series of the show that it seems ridiculous to label each winner an ‘idol’. Despite being at odds with its premise, I can still happily watch American Idol and be greatly entertained by it. I think the key is not to take these shows overly seriously- light entertainment is exactly what they are supposed to be!

American Idol is no entertainment. Its sit and watch people make a fool out of themselves, then listen to stupid judges pretty much say the same thing to all the singers. Who cares? Not one reality show is worth watching to me. Ok, maybe I watch a tad of So You Think You Can Dance, but I do not watch it all the time only when nothing else is on tv. Sometimes its just stupid reruns of good shows that I seen millions of times and waiting for the next season to start.

The only reason that shows like American Idol, Big Brother or any other reality show exists is because people are dumb enough to call in and vote and give money to the producers. What an excessive waste of money. The contestants are the same people you saw last week on the street and thought they were losers and now you idolized them for being idiots. People need to get their own lives and stop wasting time watching idiots.
Even the commercials are becoming dumber and dumber.
